shows how obedience and falling in line are Republican values. Also, he notes that Republicans are less likely to believe science, new ideas, are more likely to have difficulties interacting with others, etc. (He also points out that liberals tend to be more sloppy, and if those are his criteria hold any weight, then I'm real liberal!)
He also points out that liberals believe in fairness to others, and have empathy--more than do Republicans. Chris Mooney says that by the kindergarten or first grade year, one can spot Republicans, because they are fearful. Democrats and liberals are more accepting of others, more likely to give others the benefit of the doubt.
A series of studies has shown that Republicans tend to interpret neutral images as being threatening, or disgusting. That is, if you show people neutral faces, Republicans are more likely to interpret them as threatening than our Democrats. Republicans are also likely to find more disgusting things such as, dog poop, vomit, etc., then are Democrats--who probably see these things as everyday experiences.
Fearful Republicans are much more susceptible to threats from abroad, to people bringing on the drumbeats of war. This is part of the actual brain wiring of many Republicans, especially the most conservative ones.
