8. I find that little kids only show great insight and wisdom

because they repeat back to us what we tell them. Naturally, we believe we show great insight and wisdom.

Once read about teaching critical thinking to elementary school kids--3rd graders, I think it was. They were great critical thinkers, one set observers said.

Another pointed out that all they did was cite facts and arguments that the teacher had told them were the truth. Their critical thinking was, to a very large extent, rote learning. What made it sound like critical thinking was the views that were expressed by the teacher, in line with the first group of observers'.

So, yeah. Mostly they were pre-terrified because they were inadvertently (or advertently, so to speak) pre-trained. To say that, of course, is to suggest that their great insight and wisdom, so wisely and intelligently mirroring our own, isn't.
