We didn't flood during the floods last year, so we should be ok. We are 24 miles from the ocean, we did have two trees cut down, that were ill and located near our home. The problem with this area is all the Cane Bay Area build up. It's floods and the high school is being used as a shelter.
I have a generator, and if I had small kids I would have left. However, were all adults here. All our friends have radios to call each other.
I let my DU friends know how we are in a few hours. I wasn't here for Hugo, but was hit by a tornado a few years back. All the pets are in and safe.
Just wanted to,add we have Teflon on our windows.
