he suffers greatly. His suffering is the result of his own thoughts, words, and deeds. A real, authentic Buddhist teacher could find the right words to get through to him. I'm not such a person. The best that I can do is to see how such negative karma bears fruit in such disasterous and unhappy outcomes. The path to becoming more enlightened is painful. We have to become very embarrassed and ashamed of the various selfish and hurtful things that we have said and done in the past, and truly repent them and make a serious commitment to not make those mistakes again.

I would argue that the way to not let him make us suffer is to have compassion for him. He is an excellent object lesson to all our young men and boys about how disrespecting women and girls is not funny and creates lots of trouble and problems for guys that engage in it. Trump is an object lesson in the virtues of practicing the golden rule. There's also the object lesson that money can't buy you happiness. Only following a moral code of integrity and holding good will and compassion in our hearts can being us peace of mind and happiness.

Too bad Trump can't spend some time with Jimmy and Roselyn Carter. Jimmy is a gentle man and a giant of a man, when it comes to character, compassion, and personal integrity. my 2 cents ...
