he purposely prolonged a hopelessly misguided war for four years, at the cost of tens of thousands of Americans killed and maimed, and hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Vietnamese, announcing the end of American involvement just in time to win re-election.

He also gave a green light to the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Chile, resulting in years of savage repression, torture, and executions.

I could go on...

I have no doubt a President Trump would have been just as bad, if not worse, which is why the thought of his election terrified me so.

Hopefully this creep was exposed in time.

With Nixon, unfortunately, the nation and world were not so lucky.
