Today is my mom and dad's 68th anniversary and I feel compelled to say something public, sorry. [View all]

Mary and Joseph - 91 and 94. Same CT house, married for 68 years today. Die-hard bleeding heart liberals. Still bowl every Wednesday. My dad with a cane. My mom, scored a 200 not too long ago - woohoo.

My dad, WW2 vet, So Pacific. He sent a Navy pic to my mom (who thought they were in love) signed "Friends Always"

They never verbally "taught" us 4 kids much - except to root for the underdog and to be honest. My dad made my sister walk 1/2 mile in the snow to return a nickel to the newspaper machine because she got two papers.

His mind is shot now....although there are glimpses of coolness. He voted for ""What kind of name is that??" Obama". We will have to convince him this year that Hillary is a man....but who cares, right?

And, I have to say, if my mom knew what P**** was, and my dad was with it - like he used to be - they would be 100% totally disgusted by the person who is running for the President of the United States.
