lot's of bad from FL since the late 90s.
Outside of Obama winning there, and Nelson holding on as Senator, it's been awful for Dems. We've lost senate and governor races by small margins (Alex Sink losing to Rick Scott still burns, as it was so close) that let you know had the GOP folks who run the state hadn't screwed with tossing people off the voter roles, and other election fiasco, that the outcome would be different.
Also, FL voted against gay rights in 2008 (only 57% of Obama supporters voted against Amm. 2, and 19% of McCain).
So, it's high time this Dem voter increase in the state result in some real changes in statewide races!
