Am I being silly? [View all]

My 11 year old daughter has a few days off from school November 10-11, so I put in for vacation time and thought it might be fun to go for a local mother daughter trip somewhere. We settled on Washington DC. She hasn't been since she was a toddler.

As I was looking into hotels , it occurred to me that we'd be going 2 days after the election.

On the one hand, it might be a supper cool moment to be in DC. On the other, if some disgruntled nut job decided that the election outcome warrants 2nd amendment remedies, seems like the tourist spots in DC would make attractive targets.

Maybe we will opt for Baltimore's inner harbor instead.

Am I ridiculous?
