Sorry, but I have to repeat that. If I make an illegal copy of a CD to give to a friend, I have not stolen anything. I have possibly deprived someone of a sale, but it's never been successfully demonstrated that it reduces sales. More copies, more exposure, more sales, and especially more concert tickets sold.
The illegal download == theft argument is a canard from the RIAA.
