nobody expecting the Spanish Inquisition but this just isn't funny. I think you're theory isn't too far-fetched. Hanssen did have an axe to grind with Hillary Clinton and with women who did not "know their place" in general. I'm sure he wasn't alone in his sentiments. Republicans (rabid anti-Clinton Republicans at that) including Rick Santorum, Robert H. Bork, Robert D. Novak and Lawrence Kudlow were members. Louis Freeh was connected with Opus Dei himself. I suppose this is possible. They are zealous adherents to the teachings recruited by Father McCloskey.
