Abusers always see it as their god-given duty to correct anyone who crosses their path. If you just acquiesce, then they'll stop, maybe.

But the crime of crossing them in any way must be punished. They never see that they are in control of their own choices: Someone else required correction. It had to be done. The abuser had no choice. The victim's behavior required punishment.

Yep: That's how all of the gop see their role: God chose them and so they got the most votes so they know everything and are infallible. Until they're caught and sent to jail...
