A few of my more liberal associates immediately saw right through it... But, the rest? Totally freaked out on it. Especially, oddly enough, the most traditionally conservative people I'm around.
It was cathartic and, well... Very liberal-a-ting.
I was ranting about privatizing everything, squashing any hint of empathy, or tolerance. Total up-by-the-bootstraps Randian Objectivist jive.
I became a regular Trumpanzee.
However, I discovered... It hurt people. People I least expected. Finally, one of the quieter of them talked with me and said that she and several others were hurt. They'd always felt safe around me. I had inspired confidence and self-esteem in them before. Now, they were losing that. I had been empowering before and now there was doubt. I felt bad.
So, I reverted back to the affable empathetic tolerant me.
However, I learned... I will NEVER give in to the genuine type of person I was portraying. This is why I'm on the Give Trump No Quarter (Just like the Repigs did to President Obama) bandwagon.
