We have to start with the overt, admitted white nationalist types. If we attack them, but not Trump (at first), we avoid making this about Republican vs Democrat, and instead make it about America vs Evil, which puts a lot more people on our side. Then if Trump sides with Nazis, people will start drawing their own conclusions, and if he doesn't, he'll at least be weakened by having to distance himself from them, and be in a position where he'll have to respect the rule of law more than he otherwise might.
