that the idiots among us are hurt badly enough to put Congress back into the hands of sane Americans who aren't white supremacists, bigots, Nazis, misogynists, or scam artists.
I was totally against the "let the whole system blow up so people can see how bad it is" ideology when it was proposed during the primaries. At that point we had other options. Now we don't.
