7. Is it?

As someone who has studied the Holocaust from a variety of sources and angles, as well as WWII (though, not as extensively and almost exclusively the European front), I can say, with all honesty, that no, "Fighting Nazis is not an American Tradition." The US was not overly involved prior to its joining the war in stopping the Nazis, including the many who roamed the streets of the US. Sure, there were a few attempts to stop local Bund meetings, but not anything earth-shattering. And while there was some support to our allies, mainly the UK, there was not a "tradition" of fighting the Nazis until Germany declared war on us. Then of course, there is the disgusting history of providing Nazis clemency (is that the right word?) after the war, provided they gave us something.

Frankly, I would say there is a "tradition" of ignoring Nazis until they are on our doorstep, or now, in our administration.
