45. Most of the people who voted for Trump have been voting againt their own interest

for a long time and have yet to figure it out.

They buy into the appeals to emotion (bigotry, blaming others, etc..) instead of thinking about what they are really voting for and against.

Trump screwing them over will be blamed on the usual suspects, and Trump voters will - again - next time around, vote against their own best interest.
