The meteorologists were desperately trying to warn people.

Yet the order to evacuate came much too late and too many people refused to leave.

Here we are watching as a Category 5 storm is aimed directly at the heart of our Democracy and our people.

People are going to suffer and die. We may not sustain the assault.
