I mean, if we're counting Catholics as a minority, then Kennedy got the Presidency before Biden got Vice, and, heck, we've got Obama there as a President.

Not saying that minority Presidential candidates are sure winners (obviously not), just pointing out how odd it is that we've had minority presidents before minority vice presidents in at least two instances. And I wouldn't be surprised if we get a woman president before we get a woman vice president
