9. I have great respect for Obama but I don't think he is the best person to deal with this problem.

Certainly he's the best choice in the next election without any question but a different personality would be better for the country right now.

One of Obama's strengths is diplomacy. I feel he's a master at building bridges between different points of view but right now diplomacy is not what we need. The right is totally immune to diplomacy today so it is not a terribly useful skill.

What we really need is a strong, persuasive, ruthless leader that takes no hostages. Someone who can push and bully others into doing his will. Not a likable guy but someone that gets things done at any cost.

Normally I don't like that kind of leader but unfortunately I don't see any other kind of person being able to take control of our careening government right now. The deranged right will only be reined in by a severe, disciplinarian father figure, not a diplomatic, intellectual communicator.
