Your description of how a News Room Works is spot on. Having a family member who worked for a Major Midwest TV Station confirmed this many years ago. His Producer had final say on the context as well as content and the style of his story writing. Needless to say,that was one of his short lived adventures. There is zero space for a liberal in the Media.
