4. The house would rubber stamp Trump into office. Still it would be a good thing.

1) It would increase support for abolishing the EC.
2) It would greatly delegitimize Trump. He would go down as the President with the absolute least electoral votes (on top of losing popular vote) which needed the support of Congress to put him in the White House.
