1. That leaves complacent cynics like me in trouble.

It is bad enough that we have to fight a united GOP, currently run by truly out of touch tea baggers and neocons. But, when we STILL have to battle Blue Dog Democrats, then I begin to wonder why we even bother. At least we don't have Rahm pissing on our backs, and telling us IT'S FUCKING RAINING, or a Bill Daley stabbing us in our still dripping wet backs. And it does seem as though the president finally has some fight in him, instead of beating the compromise drum to death.
