4. I don't think that is the immediate problem

The biggest problem is Flynn at NSA. He does not need to have a coup. Given the wide Executive power the President has, Flynn only needs to convince Trump which appears to be pretty easy for him (call him the Trump Whisperer).

I almost choked when I read an article that implied that the NSA was not important. The role is always important, and in Trump's case, it becomes the most important role in Washington as far as I am concerned. I got to think traditional moderate Republicans (or even Republican internationalists who are socially conservative) must just be going crazy right now. Within the guidelines of the Constitution, the various Departments serve the President's policies. Flynn will decide what those international policies will be (at least in those areas involving potential conflicts).
