(2,061 posts)Is it not rather disingenuous to say only eighty thousand people decided this election?
At least two reasons:
1) The folks who voted for Trump number at approximately 61,125,956.00000. Is it now OK to disenfranchise their votes? I might be somewhat inclined to side with you except the Republicans also swept the Governorships, the Senate and the House, is that not then, the will of the people? Or does that only matter when they vote as you wanted? This we know better attitude brought us Trump.
2) I am not comfortable with having only a few large cities decide who the President is, which is really what the popular vote is although in 2016 they most likely would at least vote a Democrat in.
You should be angry at the media and Hillary for giving the impression that she had it in the bag and then folks stayed home and now we have four years of Trump.
I guess the media admitting they went out of their way to sway the election towards Hillary is OK by you and we need only pay lip service to an impartial media?
