All profits have gone to the upper 1% for the last 36 years. The bloated DoD has managed to get us bogged down in two lousy wars with disastrous results. Our infrastructure is crumbling, schools are falling behind and falling down. We are not leading the world in green energy systems, our wi-fi sucks compared to more "advanced" countries. Our media is shit. The Fascists have been running the show for quite some time, only now we get to see their clown prince, the naked emperor standing at the podium saying "fuck you America".

Yes, the struggle continues, it's our duty as citizens to fight. But as Howard Zinn aptly put it: "The government is not your friend". And just who controls this government?

I've often thought the appointment of lil' shrub to the White House was a naked coup by the right wing powers that be, but considering the results (stolen again by the Republicans of course) of a close election in 2004, but it's the ignorati on the right who is the enemy within. These folks hate anything labeled Democrat and will line up behind any strong "daddy" figure on the right. Toss in some good ol' racism and sexism and patriotism and you've got a pool of authoritarian bots willing to do the bidding of any mad man at the helm.

And our fawning corporate media has led this parade from the start.
