And it's been a slow moving train wreck ever since. Democratic victories have been short lived while republicans have succeeded in taking over state legislatures, governorship's, and passing draconian laws against women, gays, and people who vote.

Once bush was installed, there was no going back. Even then it was obvious we lost so much ground that would take years to get back.
