This is a bit premature and somewhat exaggerated, is it not?

I mean, when the campaign was in progress, we heard Drumpf repeatedly talk about making America great again. The premise was that everything has eroded. All around us life is so much worse under the Obama "regime," or so Drumpf wanted us to believe. That's folly, of course.

Granted there are numerous policies and practices that are desperately in need of reform, and there are civil rights and humane approaches that must not be cast aside under the PEOTUS and his cronies. So we must be vigilant. But let's not overreact. Let's not sound like we're about to hyperventilate because everything is suddenly gloomy. Even Michelle Obama's message to Oprah yesterday about the "absence of hope," was not helpful, IMO (and I love Michelle and Barack).

I refuse to live without hope, without a drive to preserve and enhance fairness, justice, civility and human rights. Like economics (and our own personal accounts), things can look rosy at times and grim at others. But let's take a deep breath, realize that the sun will still rise tomorrow (as Obama accurately promised it would on the day after the election) and carry on doing the things that make a difference in our own lives and the lives of others.
