(3,894 posts)speaking, standing up, and NOT CRYING like a two year old because kids rudely recognize some facts about you.
I'm sorry, I just don't see that as reasons to hit, or slap, or corporal punishment. She had plenty of time to be the adult on the bus before any poking or prodding happened and to end it. Instead she reverted to child younger than those she's supposed to be attending.
I get that she's not qualified and that's not her fault, but I am way angrier that EVERY child on that bus could have been the one being bullied and the ADULT on the bus that's supposed to be monitoring wouldn't be able to handle it, diffuse it, and calm it, but would instead cry for the bullied student.
If this idea that she was at least part of the problem, and since buses with well behaved children don't have monitors we must assume some problems were known about, we must realize that it's the bus management company's error, probably due to poor employee training and pay and not choosing the right folks.
If we keep going after the kids, not much will change, they aren't the root of the problem we see here. Or better said, the things that encourage behavior like that (I'm thinking most of tv these days, especially Simon Coward on Idol, and those types) are not going away, the kids can't be held even 50% responsible, hell, to them it's just entertainment, and seriously who can blame them for believing that?
