12. Hard to damage the "Republican brand"

Remember George W. Bush? Our special needs President. The one who dressed up like a cowboy and a fighter pilot.

He was, from all accounts in 2008, our Worst.President.Ever.

He left the country's finances in a shambles, lied us into an unnecessary invasion of Iraq which somehow fanned the flames of Islamic extremism, sent our under-equipped troops into a no-win war in Afghanistan, couldn't be bothered looking for Osama bin-Laden, couldn't be bothered saving New Orleans, etc. etc. He was so bad that after the 2008 election many of us wondered aloud if there were a way that Obama could be inaugurated sooner than January 20th. Yes, WORST.PRESIDENT.EVER.

Eight years later, we are persuaded to vote for The Donald.

If Dubya couldn't damage the Republican brand enough to keep The Donald from being elected only 8 years later, then the Republican brand is immune to damage.
