When I lost my best friend, my cat, Arlo, who shared his love with me for 12 years, I know people thought they were helping, but sometimes there are no words. I still have six other rescue cats with me, but it's like losing a child, you don't just go out and get another one ~ as some suggest. Arlo was my oldest of the 7 rescues living with me and we all mourned for him for weeks and after 9 full months, I feel as lonely as the day he left my side. Yes, I remember all the wonderful years we shared, but that does nothing to dull the pain of knowing I'll never have his sweet kisses and comfort ~ EVER again.
