188. I think a lot of people would be shocked

at the amount of dysfunction that goes on behind closed doors of people that appear 'normal'. I belong to a group of people who grew up with parents that have different PDs and the stories are completely shocking. Couple that with the whole 'needing to belong' a la Milgram, and Lord of the Flies group think that can be prevalent at that age (14 is the WORST for it), you are going to get some fucked up situations.

Not excusing it, but pointing out where this stuff comes from. "nice house, nice clothes, nice school" doesn't mean shit if you are emotionally abused and manipulated by depraved, empathy-devoid parents from the moment you are born, all while putting on a perfect face to the outside.

I was impressed with her restraint as well, if that was me, I'd be in jail right now for punching a few kids.
