A supreme entity impregnated her without her knowing. Sounds like God* used a roofie to me.

Taken a step further, he brought his son into this world so that he could be tortured and killed by some other of God*'s children, also made in his own image, of course. To save us from eternal damnation, so the story goes.

It all strikes me as a bit too pathological for my taste.
