20. That only works if the majority of the public believes in Schumer

What happens when the majority of the country instead views Schumer as petty and obstructionist? Do you really think a majority of the country is going to rally behind a career politician from New York that isn't particularly likeable himself?*

Almost 75% of eligible voters either stayed home or voted for someone other then Hillary Clinton:

Using the 58% number from NPR, 42% of eligible voters didn't bother to vote at all. Of the 58% that did vote, 32.4% of those eligible voters still voted for someone other then Clinton. So 74.4% of eligible voters choose to either stay home or vote against Clinton.

*So there is no confusion, I never thought Sanders could win the general election and I am not pushing to have him as Senate Minority leader.
