(5,455 posts)What happens when the majority of the country instead views Schumer as petty and obstructionist? Do you really think a majority of the country is going to rally behind a career politician from New York that isn't particularly likeable himself?*
Almost 75% of eligible voters either stayed home or voted for someone other then Hillary Clinton:

Using the 58% number from NPR, 42% of eligible voters didn't bother to vote at all. Of the 58% that did vote, 32.4% of those eligible voters still voted for someone other then Clinton. So 74.4% of eligible voters choose to either stay home or vote against Clinton.
*So there is no confusion, I never thought Sanders could win the general election and I am not pushing to have him as Senate Minority leader.
