5. Less than Lethal...

nobody said that they are not lethal... they just have a lesser chance to cause injury or death.

And from the story... no taser then the trooper would have opened fire with his service weapon. In the end, same result. but there is a less likelihood that in a similar circumstance the taser will kill as many people as a service gun.

Not defending the death, just explaining this.
