why not just dump the cable and get the local programs off the air? The market I'm in has over 80 off the air channels, many of them in HD.

You can supplement it with a Roku or similar device to stream what you can't get locally. And after you get a pretty good antenna and buy a streaming device, it's free!

We also have a Netflix and Amazon Prime services and for a fraction of what a cable bill is, you get tons of programming on demand.
