I don't think they give a shit that Drumpf is a sociopath. All the ReThugs care about is power. They took Reagan very seriously when he said "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help." They are this close to achieving Grover Norquist's famously stated goal of making government so small you can drown it in a bathtub.

Because they don't believe in government, they don't know how to govern, so when they get control, they govern badly. Unfortunately for them, even their most rabid anti government followers will have their hand out for help from the government in the event of a Katrina or other like disaster. History really will repeat itself and they will get the blame for mishandling the disaster and get bounced out on their asses.
