(10,362 posts)One of my best friends dated a mother who got pregnant as a teen, married the dude shotgun style, then divorced and turned her life around by going to medical school. Her daughter should have felt loved, right? Unfortunately the "father" (read: sperm donor) moved across the country to avoid his child and she grew up without a father.
Fast forward 18 years and she just graduated high school and is living with a man in his early 40s. Literally fell for the first adult male who approached her at an all-ages club (and her mother thinks this started before 18). This isn't his first much younger girlfriend, it's happened before. She got fair enough grades and is in college though, so it's not all bad. At some point, hopefully she'll wake up and see this for what it is.
Point is, these guys play the numbers game. They'll approach 10 girls and 9 will rebuff them. They only need one.
