Showing Original Post only (View all)The disturbing undertones of today's Trump-Arnold Twitter spat. [View all]
In case you haven't heard, the Madman posted this on Twitter this morning:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · 2h2 hours ago
Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got "swamped" (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT. So much for....
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · 2h2 hours ago
being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary

It's more than just petty celebrity gossip about a stupid reality show. Nor is it just the run-of-the-mill Trump acting a fool on Twitter.
Why does this disturb me?
Well, despite what should have been glaring, obvious conflicts of interest, the Madman is still listed as an executive producer on The Apprentice. I know, it's absolute ridiculous, but that's just a fact.
One would think that someone as an Executive Producer of a show would want to act in its own best interest and not denigrate it based on petty personality spats.
But that's not who Donald Trump is. Donald Trump is and has always been about only one thing: Donald Trump. He's psychologically incapable of transcending anything beyond his own ego. So he might be the executive producer of The Apprentice but obviously he has no loyalty to it or desire to see it succeed because his successor at host has in his mind crossed him and failed him.
Now, it's one thing if we're talking about a crappy, formulaic reality TV show. However it's an entirely different thing if we're talking about the United States of America.
In two weeks, barring an unexpected coronary event, Donald Trump is slated to become this country's chief executive. He'll stand up and take an oath of loyalty to protect our country. His ego should not transcend that duty of loyalty.
However, what we see here is that the man has no loyalty to anyone but himself. None. He'll burn the entire house down if it makes him feel any better for his feelings being hurt. And that is so, so incredibly disturbing when one considers our very country as at stake in his little hands.
As goes The Apprentice, so goes the United States of America.
