The common theme seems to be, "There are so many people who now have coverage because of Obamacare that I'm sure Trump wouldn't agree to anything that would just throw us all off the rolls with nothing to replace it."

After all, Trump's campaign position amounted to saying that he would repeal Obamacare but that no one would lose coverage and that patients and the government would pay less but the care would be better.

Bear in mind that Reagan promised to cut taxes, raise military spending, and balance the budget, and on that basis won twice.
