In reply to the discussion: Why isn't HRC on every tv station screaming bloody murder? Don't tell me DEMS are too polite. [View all]Grammy23
(6,122 posts)was because she ran a bad campaign. That the professional campaign managers made bad decisions regarding where and when she would go to speak and meet voters. The pollsters were wrong. All kinds of "reasons" why she lost. And then we were told to GET OVER IT, move on.
And then the stories about Russian hacking started slipping out. Still we were told to get over it. Trump won. She lost. Move on. Accept the results and shut up your whining. It had nothing to do with the outcome.
Today, the Report revealed that hurting HRC's chances at winning the election and therefore enhancing Trump's chances of winning the election were the primary reasons for doing the hacking. Putin wanted her embarrassed and humiliated but mostly he wanted her to lose. He wanted Trump put in place. And apparently he got what he wanted.
So now we sit here in stunned disbelief that what many of us suspected all along is true. And there are many, many questions left unanswered. What connections to Trump did they uncover? Which of Trump's campaign members (ALL of them, including the ones who left before the election) had or have connections to Putin or Russia? What about all the cabinet nominations with ties to Russia?
But the biggest unanswered question in my mind is what is going to be done about the election. This election was not fair and unbiased. We really don't know the full impact of the Russian interference regardless of whether voting machines were hacked or manipulated.
I do not believe the people of the US should accept this situation until the questions are answered. Trump should not be inaugurated as scheduled until we get to the bottom of this debacle. We have only just scratched the surface and the future of our country hangs in the balance. What happens in the next week will have profound impact on all of our futures.
