Tired of the same false equivalency you mention i.e.

Cars kill- they are not specifically built for that like a gun and there are far more regulations to owning a car and driving.

Knives kill- but very rarely is there mass casualties as is the norm for guns.

If we outlaw guns only outlaws will have them. As you said by that logic we should get rid of all laws.

Guns don't kill, people kill. Once again by that logic the drug filled syringe on the table does not kill people either.

2nd Amendment- well 50% of it is all that matters apparently.

There are too many guns out there, new laws will not make a difference.- Leaded gas was everywhere more so than guns with very powerful lobbies for it but we managed to regulate and eventually get rid of it once we realized how dangerous it was.

I own guns. I enjoy target shooting. I would not have a problem with regulating them in a very strict manner. The example of Germany is fine with me.

There is no good reason not to regulate them very strictly. Given the carnage and destruction they can produce.

Yearly registration.
100% back ground checks.
Safety training.
Proof of secure storage.
Mag Caps.
Mental evals.

What is it going to take to get this country to do something to at least try to reduce the insanity of gun violence.

I read a news story about a ten year old yesterday that got put in time out by his mom before school and got hold of a firearm and shot himself...he died. Still waiting to see if it is labeled a "tragic accident" by LE or negligent homicide as it should be.

Welcome to the new year same as the old year...

I posted this earlier about Germany in another thread, but here it is again. Buckeye_Democrat Jan 2017 #1
