5. Carl Bernstein said timing occurred before Trump sworn in. so will be harder to quash investigations

I briefly saw him on CNN with Jake Tapper last night where he emphasized importance of info being revealed before Trump takes over. Apparently there was concern that unless the details are revealed publicly now, Trump and his team once officially in power, would be more able to it sweep it all under the rug and quash investigations.
