If he doesn't, Russia will release it.
If he does, everybody will jump to their feet to allege that he's a foreign puppet and a traitor.

The next 4 years, Trump will get hammered for every little, insignificant thing he does and doesn't. (And just like with GWB, he will get blamed for general problems that he's innocent of, simply by virtue of being President.)

I said it before he got elected and I say it again:
He had no idea what this job is about.
He thought, being President is sitting on a throne and barking orders.
He's headed for a world of hatred, rejection and neverending malicious criticism and he's not ready to face it.
