17. The old saying

It goes something like this:

"Don't pick a fight with a newspaper, they buy their ink by the barrel".

It's their PROFESSION AND FULL-TIME JOB to dig up news that contains dirt on politicians and power-brokers, because those politicians and power-brokers are actively using their public persona to tell a different story. As good as a Trump PR machine may be, they are no New York Times. He may fool those who only WATCH the news, but not those who read and understand it.
