but I worry that our demonization of her has at least a little to do with her gender. Women aren't *supposed* to be this nasty in the patriarchal world--in a way it's liberating that a woman can be such a villain on the world stage.

And you're right: she's talk, not action. Michelle Bachman was more dangerous, I think, and certainly any number of men who are in the position to *do* things.
