When the entire big picture is absurd, sometimes you lose sight of the little microabsurdities [View all]

What is utterly absurd and depressing is the fact that our next president is slated to be Donald Trump, a thrice-married failed businessman and reality TV show host, with raging Narcissistic Personality Disorder, an addition to Twitter, and what appears to be a deep seated psychological obsession about gold. Oh, and he appears to have been compromised by the Russian government.

But sometimes that fact overwhelms some of the minutia that comes along tangentially with the greater crazy picture.

For example, watching the press conference yesterday, my mind pretty much glossed over the fact that the Madman had decided to bring along his own personal cheering section.
