even most sex offenders got through their sentences. The idea that "most would definitely be killed in a very short time if in general population" simply doesn't accord with any set of facts. Has the violence against this class of offenders been reduced significantly over the last two decades? Yes, of course. As has all prison violence. But most sex offenders, and even child molesters, got through their sentences, gen-pop or otherwise, even before violence reduction programs. People getting killed in prison was always much more rare than the popular mythologies imagine it to be.

Yeah. There's no more Death Sentences ala Dahmer that are allowed to happen anymore.
