"You know, I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people. It will be hard. It's going to be very difficult. I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president," Lewis said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that is set to air Sunday.
"I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton," Lewis said.

That said, a movement needs leadership & the Democratic Party is in the best position to start it. If they want to give The People any hope that there is an opposition party left in this country, they need to use Lewis' words as a rally cry. But will they?
If this situation were reversed, & there were these kinds of irregularities in the election of a dem president, the GOP would be the biggest, nastiest, investigative, obstructive fucks on the planet.
We are about to put a man in one of our highest offices, who is horribly compromised in so many ways it's stunning in scope.
John Lewis

One of the most freeing thoughts to have is to realize that no one is going to save you.

I don't think we should expect change to come through our broken electoral process.
