and it was locked before I could but I kept it up just in case!

There is a little knitting shop not far from where I live that I have bought yarn from, and they are participating in the Pussy Hat Project to offer patterns for knitted "pussy" hats and show beginners how to knit them (which has apparently caused a shortage of pink yarn)!



I know 20 years ago, my mother, sisters, and I particpated in the "Million Woman March" here in Philly.



Maxine Waters, Winnie Mandela, and other prominent black women spoke at the event. They low-balled it at 3/4 million back then -



but really - there should be way more at this year's Women's March events both in DC and the rest of the country given our 1997 march was directed at black women and there was a huge turnout for it.

This year's March will be in the same spot as the one I went to 20 years ago.
