(3,585 posts)47. I know that, and when I looked into it at the time, the laws were similar, he worked under his
employer's license, yet the media harped and harped on that aspect.
What stood out to me, was that never in my entire life had I seen the media so absorbed in what officially allows a plumber to call himself a plumber, or anything related to the job description of plumber. In movies and TV any handyman who shows up at the apartment is called a plumber, not just the men actually working as actual service plumbers.

Joe the Plumber worked under the boss's license, the same as is done in California and many states.
